Update: Launch promotion extended till 31 Jan 2022! Continue to earn 4 mpd on selected spend categories, including overseas spending!
OCBC has just launched its newest credit card, the 90°N Visa, which has a superior miles earn rate on certain spend categories, at least from now until 31 Jan 2022.

During this initial launch period, you’ll be able to earn 4 mpd on the following spend categories:
- Online Entertainment (e.g. Disney+, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Viu, Spotify)
- Food Delivery (e.g. Foodpanda, Grabfood, Deliveroo, Oddle)
- Online Retail (e.g. Amazon, Lazada, Qoo10, Shopee)
- Groceries (e.g. Cold Storage, Giant, NTUC Fairprice, Sheng Siong)
- Overseas Spend
In addition, you’ll be able to earn 6 mpd for hotels, flights and activities booked on the following platforms:
- Agoda
- Expedia
- KKDay
Just remember to apply the promo code “90NVISA” upon checkout.

For local spend, you’ll be earning a base rate of 1 mpd and a bonus of 3 mpd. For overseas spend, you’ll be earning a base rate of 2 mpd and a bonus of 2 mpd. The maximum bonus miles you can earn is capped at 5000 per calendar month, which translates to S$1667 of local spend or S$2500 of overseas spend.
After 31 Jan 2022, the earn rate for online entertainment will drop to 3 mpd (base of 1 mpd and bonus of 2 mpd), while that of online retail, groceries, and food delivery will drop to 1.5 mpd (base of 1 mpd and bonus of 0.5 mpd). The earn rate for overseas spend will also drop to 2 mpd.
If you sign up from now until 15 Jan 2022, your first year annual fee of S$53.50 will be waived. For subsequent years, you can either pay S$53.50 and receive no miles for renewing your card membership, or top up an additional S$139 to receive 10,000 miles.

Note that miles earned by spending using your 90°N card, also known as Travel$, do not expire, and transfers to the Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer programme at a 1:1 ratio with absolutely no transfer fees.
The 90°N Mastercard version was actually launched a couple of years back, and it was generally well received. It is expected that this Visa version will also be a hit among those in the business of collecting frequent flyer miles. In particular, the 90°N Visa would be ideal for those travelling during the year end holidays with the superior 4 mpd earn rate that you can enjoy during the initial launch period for overseas spending.
