In view of the current COVID-19 pandemic, Singapore Airlines has already rolled out a series of support schemes for its KrisFlyer Elite members over the past year. For example, just a couple of weeks ago, it was announced that KrisFlyer Elite tier members will have their memberships extended for yet another year.
Now, cardmembers of the Amex Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Ascend credit card will also be able to fast track themselves to the much coveted KrisFlyer Elite Gold membership.
Simply charge a minimum of S$5,000 to your card from now until 28 Feb 2021, and you’ll be upgraded to the KrisFlyer Elite Gold tier, plus receive 3,000 bonus KrisFlyer miles in the process. This is over and above the usual miles you would receive as part of your general spend. The bonus miles will be credited to your KrisFlyer account within 8-12 weeks after the end of the promotion period. Also, if you are eligible for the upgrade to the KrisFlyer Elite Gold tier, this will take place within 8-10 weeks after the end of the promotion period, and your new membership tier will be valid for 1 year from the date of this upgrade.
Do note that of the S$5,000 of eligible general spend, S$300 must come from spending directly with Singapore Airlines or Scoot, as well as from KrisShop.
This promotion is open to both new and existing cardmembers. Usually, cardmembers must spend a minimum of S$15,000 with Singapore Airlines within the first 12 months of card membership to attain the KrisFlyer Elite Gold status. Therefore, this promotion is great for those looking to fast track themselves to this tier.
Of course, if you’re already a KrisFlyer Elite Gold member, this promotion will not apply to you, as existing schemes are already in place for you to enjoy your membership extension. As a reminder, here are the benefits of the KrisFlyer Elite Gold membership:
For those with any upcoming spend, do take advantage of this promotion to fast track yourselves to the KrisFlyer Elite Gold tier!
