After we checked out of the St. Regis Mumbai, we headed just 500 metres due west to check into the Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai. But of course, the traffic made it seem a bit further than that.

The staff converged on us when we arrived at the lobby, offering to send our bags up to our room while we checked in. This property boasts amazing sea views so we were really hoping for an upgrade, and we were pleased. With our upgrade confirmed at check in, we headed straight up to our room to freshen up. After all, we just spent almost an entire day out and about, exploring Mumbai.

Our first impressions were that the room furnishings were a little traditional. There were a lot of wooden finishings, all of the same tones. It made everything appear very one dimensional, but one thing made it all worthwhile – the view! During our trip, we were blessed with clear skies and good visibility, so we could enjoy spectacular views of the Arabian Sea from our room.

Our room faced west, so during the afternoon we were afraid that the room would start heating up. Thankfully, the air conditioning was more than adequate at keeping the room temperature low for our comfort.

With the sun angle slowly lowering towards the horizon, it was lovely to see the sun rays stream in, casting shadows all around.

The bathroom was cladded in a lovely shade of marble. Having a double vanity was definitely a major plus, so was having a large free standing bathtub. The rain shower was also pretty spacious!

The staff sent up a welcome amenity too!

The check in staff had recommended that we head up to the rooftop bar to catch the sunset, so we did. Thankfully, we arrived early enough to grab a table right by the edge, offering unobstructed views stretching all the way to the horizon.

Some champagne and bar bites completed the entire experience!

At dusk, the city lights down below all started to sprout and come to life. Mumbai is truly a city that never sleeps!

We had made reservations at the in-house restaurant to avoid the hassle of having to travel out at night. The staff recommended us a lovely spread of curries and a mix of Thai and Indian fare, and everything really went well together.

As we were heading off the next day, the staff put together a decadent dessert, which we appreciated very much of course.

Our F&B experience at the property was looking good thus far, and breakfast didn’t disappoint too! It was a semi-buffet, with selected items available for self-service and other hot items such as eggs prepared to order.

Service was brisk, but the staff made it a point to engage in small talk and socialise with the guests, which was a nice touch.
Regarding the facilities, the property has a fully equipped fitness centre that was evidently well maintained.

The pool was also very inviting, and large enough to do laps in. A small corner of the pool was actually a jacuzzi with ample seating for a small group.

There were quite a number of deck chairs surrounding the pool, but couples should try getting their hands on one of the cabanas for a little more privacy.

Do note that guests are also free to use the spa facilities, such as the hot tub and sauna. With bath towels and toiletries all provided for use, and showers all conveniently located within the spa, it would be a good idea to drop by perhaps just before or after a workout at the gym or a swim.

Before heading to the airport, we dropped by the restaurant for a quick meal. While the portions of pasta were a little small, they were very well prepared!

Alas it was time to head off, and we thanked the staff for their hospitality. The Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai is a gem indeed. From warm and friendly staff, to fine facilities and F&B offerings, and spectacular views of the Arabian Sea, guests can expect to have all their needs well looked after here!
