In view of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic where it’s harder for travellers to clock frequent flyer miles, Singapore Airlines had previously announced that it’s now possible to renew your KrisFlyer Elite status through other means, such as credit card spending.

Now, there’s more good news for those intending to convert credit card points to KrisFlyer miles to earn elite qualifying miles. From now until 22 Nov 21, you will receive an additional 12% more miles when you convert your credit card points to 10,000 to 49,999 KrisFlyer miles in a single qualifying transaction. If you decide to transfer your credit card points to 50,000 KrisFlyer miles and above in a single qualifying transaction, this bonus increases to 15%.

There is no cap on the amount of bonus miles that you can earn in this promotion.
According to the KrisFlyer website, there is some lead time involved for the crediting of bonus miles. However, I have recently made a conversion and the bonus miles were credited on the following day after the request was made, together with the base miles.

This promotion ties in nicely with the ongoing promotion that allows KrisFlyer members to earn elite qualifying miles from non-flying activities, that will last through to 28 Feb 2022. Instead of waiting till early 2022 to perform your conversion of credit card points to KrisFlyer miles, this might be a good opportunity to make those transfers and earn some bonus miles along with it.
