Conrad Centennial Singapore (Centennial King Suite)

Situated in the heart of Marina Bay is the Conrad Centennial Singapore. Among the Hilton portfolio of hotels and resorts, this property is as luxurious as it gets.

Located right next to mega malls like Suntec City and Marina Square, you won’t miss this iconic 31-storey building which appears to be draped with layers of flowing blue glass across its facade.

Arriving by car is a breeze, as the parking garage in the basement connects directly to the hotel lobby.

Being a Hilton Honors Diamond guest certainly has its perks, for I was offered a double upgrade to the Centennial King Suite for this stay. However, I was informed at the time of my arrival that since the suite was still being prepared, I was offered to be housed in an available guest room instead of having to wait around in the lobby.

Thankfully the front desk informed me that the wait wouldn’t be long, but at least I got to check out the Premium King room while I waited.

As expected, the room was spotless. Overall, the floor area was utilised well and the soft colours chosen for the interiors created a somewhat calming effect.

Waiting for me on the bed was the signature Conrad bear, with compliments of the hotel.

Some snacks were also prepared for our stay, comprising some local flavoured snacks and a fruit platter.

The bathroom was spacious, partly due to the smart use of mirrors all around. The double vanity was always welcome, and yes, all rooms also come with the Conrad rubber ducky, which you can also take home with you as a souvenir.

After around half an hour, I received a phone call to inform me that my suite was ready. Within minutes, a member of staff was at my door to move our belongings, as well as all the snacks, to the suite.

The Centennial King Suite is 680 square feet big, with separate living and sleeping quarters.

The first thing you’ll notice is the long daybed by the window that spans across the entire length of the living room. This makes the suite perfect for hosting guests for a small gathering. Soft lighting above and beneath the daybed also creates a cozy atmosphere for a movie night.

Directly across the daybed is a large flatscreen smart television, which can be viewed comfortably from anywhere in the living room.

Right in the corner of the living room is a work desk that faces a wall, probably to dissuade guests not to work unnecessarily while on a break.

The suite also came fully stocked with snacks and beverages in the minibar.

The bedroom is accessible via a doorway from the living room. Once again, the Conrad bear with welcoming eyes lay upright against the pillows, on sheets that appeared pressed to perfection.

To avoid any clutter, nothing was placed at the front of the bedroom besides the television that was mounted on a feature wall to keep everything sleek and tidy.

The wardrobe and dressing table were lined up against the far wall on the right of the bedroom.

And now for the bathroom. Once again, one should expect a double vanity and no less for any suite. Plus, the large walk-in shower and spacious bathtub was much appreciated.

Rubber duckies can also accompany you while you take your luxurious bubble baths!

Suite guests enjoy access to the Executive Lounge on level 31, which has ample seating spaced across various rooms and chambers.

Take in panoramic views of Marina Bay while you enjoy some champagne and snacks.

If the Executive Lounge offerings aren’t enough, feel free to order in some dishes from the room service menu, which has a good mix of Asian and Western flavours.

Do note that in the event the Executive Lounge on level 31 is full, there is an overflow area located downstairs on the same floor as the swimming pool. Although you won’t get to enjoy the same views as the main lounge, it’s still a fine place to relax and chill.

Besides the swimming pool, the fitness centre is also available for guests to get some exercise done during their stay. Whether its strength training or cardio you’re looking for, this fully equipped gym has everything you’ll need.

Overall, the Conrad Centennial Singapore is probably the best property of the Hilton portfolio here in Singapore. With potential suite upgrades and Executive Lounge access for Hilton Honors top tier guests, you’ll feel pampered and well taken care of, all while you relax, unwind, and recharge during your stay!
