Probably the hotel that boasts the best views of Marina Bay in Singapore, the Ritz-Carlton Millenia Singapore promises only the best for your stay. In the days leading up to our arrival, the staff reached out to us with more information about our stay and what to expect.

Arriving guests won’t need to linger at or around the check-in desks, for everything that you’ll need for the check-in process will be brought to you as you seat yourself around the lobby area.

This time, we were pleased to be upgraded to the Club Deluxe Suite, with access to the renowned Club Lounge!

The Club Deluxe Suites are located at the ends of the corridors, which is much quieter, and the one that was assigned to us faces Marina Bay, offering panoramic views of the entire bay area.

The main door opens into the living room, with the large window as the prominent feature of the suite because of the spectacular views.
The generously-sized sofa can seat 3-4 persons comfortably. Notice the use of mirrors to effectively create a more spacious feel.

The large work desk faces Marina Bay, so if you’ll ever need to work from this suite, it is safe to say that this work station commands one of the best views from any hotel around the bay area.

On the other side of the living room, you’ll find a wall mounted flat screen television with various multimedia options. Below the television is a well-stocked minibar, with tea and coffee, snacks, and lots of beverages to choose from. Bottled water can be replenished upon request.

The minibar chest also houses glassware, an ice bucket, and a kettle.

Walk through a pair of wooden doors to access the bedroom, which also has a view of the bay.

The bedside tables lack clutter as all switches are housed within. Simply open the inbuilt latches to access them.

Reading lights are mounted on either side of the headboard for your reading pleasure.
At the front of the bedroom, you’ll find another wall mounted flatscreen television with the same multimedia options available.

Perhaps the highlight of the suite was the huge bathroom. With the bathtub strategically situated by the window, you can enjoy your bubble bath while taking in the sights.

With the double vanity, you won’t have to compete with your companion when both of you need to freshen up.

The full glass shower was very spacious, and the rain shower was absolutely divine.

Walk along the bathroom to access the WC, which is also accessible through another door that connects to the living room.

Right at the end of the bathroom you’ll find the walk-in wardrobe, with many shelves and drawers to stow your personal belongings.

Of course, we were thankful for the welcome amenity that was prepared for us in our suite, which we felt was a really special gesture.

The highlight for Club guests would have to be access to the Club Lounge. Housed on the top floor of the hotel, the Club Lounge offers a range of food and beverage literally throughout the entire day. Breakfast runs from 8 to 10:30 in the morning. This is followed by light snacks from 11:30 in the morning to 2 in the afternoon. Afternoon tea will then be served from 2:30 to 4:30 in the afternoon. Finally, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served from 5:30 in the evening onwards, with desserts to follow after that. A selection of coffees and teas, as well as juices and carbonated drinks, are available throughout the day.

For breakfast, you can pick from either the American set breakfast, the Asian set breakfast, or the Continental set breakfast. Whichever set you pick, you can always ask for more, subject to availability.

For light snacks, there’s usually a soup and a salad, as well as something more substantial like dry mee siam, for our stay.

Afternoon tea comes with the usual sweet and savoury treats, including warm fluffy scones.

Evening cocktails are served along with a 3-course meal, where you’ll be able to pick from two main course choices. Pair your meal with cocktails like a Singapore Sling or a Cosmopolitan. Non-alcoholic beverages such as cocktails are also available.

Regarding the facilities, it is important to book a slot to use the fitness centre or the swimming pool, especially during the weekends when demand is higher.

The fitness centre is huge, with a wide range of cardio and cable machines, as well as free weights. Bottled water is also provided for all users.

There’s also a studio perfect for functional fitness exercises.

The swimming pool is great for doing laps. However for those who wish to laze and wade around, the broad steps on either side of the pool would allow you to do so.

Deck chairs line both sides of the pool, but couples should try to secure a cabana if possible.

The spa facilities are also available for use, subject to availability. This includes the sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi. Towels, slippers and other bathroom amenities will all be provided for your convenience.

One other perk of being a Club guest is that there is a limo available that can take you anywhere around the Marina Bay area. The limo only provides a one-way service though, so you will have to make your own way back to the hotel. Typically, you are not able to book the limo in advance, so you’ll have to check with the Club Lounge staff if it’s available around the time when you need it.

Overall, our stay at the Ritz-Carlton Millenia Singapore was flawless. Throughout the entire stay, the staff always made their presence felt, and always made sure that everything was well looked after. The Club Lounge staff also made it a point to remember our preferred beverages while making recommendations along the way. Even the staff who engaged us during our previous stay also made it a point to pop by to make sure that everything was fine during this stay. This truly sets the Ritz-Carlton Millenia Singapore apart from other properties. It goes without saying that we’ll be back!
