The Priority Pass programme has been adding restaurants in addition to its portfolio of airport lounges, and there are a couple in Melbourne’s Tullamarine Airport worth mentioning.
In Terminal 2, where all international flights operate out from, it might be a good idea to stop by Cafe Vue and Urban Provodore, both of which are on the Priority Pass programme. Unlike lounges, these bars and restaurants focus simply on delivering food and beverage to satisfy your appetite. The food and lounges can really be a hit and miss at times, and sometimes it might be worthwhile to grab a bite at one of these restaurants before adjourning to a lounge before your flight.
Cafe Vue serves up all-day breakfast as well as burgers and sandwiches.
Service was quick and efficient, and the staff were very familiar with the Priority Pass entitlements for guests.
Seating at Cafe Vue shouldn’t be an issue due to the high capacity of the establishment.
An alternative to Cafe Vue is Urban Provodore, which also serves up sandwiches plus some signature dishes such as steak and eggs and chicken sliders.
It was a little harder to find a free table during my visit as Urban Provodore did seem a little more popular among passengers.
If you’re in a rush, there are some takeaway options available right at the counter. They’ll even offer to heat up your food for you to eat on the go!
Oh and do remember to pair your meal with some beer or wine, or which they’ve got quite an impressive selection of.
While Melbourne’s Tullamarine Airport already has many lounges, such as the Air New Zealand Lounge, American Express Lounge, SilverKris Lounge, and the Plaza Premium Lounge, these couple of restaurants that are part of the Priority Pass programme certainly offer more options to passengers who would like to hang out before their flight, over a meal and some drinks!
