On an already competitive route between Singapore and Penang that’s dominated by low cost carriers, Emirates will be launching flights between both cities as an extension of the flight from Dubai.
This new flight will operate on a daily schedule from 9 Apr 2020. EK348 will depart Singapore at 3:35pm and arrive into Penang at 5:15pm, while the return flight EK349 will depart Penang at 22:20pm and arrive into Singapore at 23:50pm (all times local).
Emirates will be deploying its 3-class B777-300ER for this flight. Seats in First Class are arranged in a 1-2-1 configuration across 2 rows.
In Business Class, you’ll be expecting 42 seats in a high density configuration of 2-3-2, which is acceptable for a short flight like this.
This is a new fifth freedom flight to look forward to, and importantly, Emirates has effectively increased capacity on this sector, allowing passengers to travel between Singapore and Penang more comfortably.
