Hyatt Regency Sydney

Located just right next to Darling Harbour in Sydney is the Hyatt Regency Sydney. In fact, the property offers direct access to the harbour as well as Pyrmont Bridge that allows pedestrian traffic to cross over to the opposite side of Darling Harbour.

Being the holiday season, the hotel was running close to full capacity as evidenced by the number of cars at the driveway. Guests can either opt to engage the valet service, or self-park at the parking garage just opposite the street.

World of Hyatt members can check in at a dedicated desk closest to the entrance. Being able to beat the queue during check-in is always a welcome perk.

The lobby was definitely refurbished since the hotel first opened its doors to guests. The gingerbread house and Christmas tree were beautiful additions to the lobby this holiday season.

Music also filled the lobby with the pianist hard at work.

Such contraptions seem to be a standard feature on bedside tables in most rooms these days.

The property did away with a wall mounted flat screen television, but instead chose to have the television on the work desk at the front of the room.

The armchair at the corner of the room by the window added a splash of colour to the room.

The bathroom was quite spacious, although there wasn’t a bathtub. The finishing gave it an overall sleek look.

Don’t fret if you need some last minute ironing as the room comes with a large ironing board.

In terms of location, the Hyatt Regency Sydney is perfect for those who enjoy the hustle and bustle of Darling Harbour in Sydney’s CBD. The only issue is that the property doesn’t have an onsite swimming pool despite its size. It might be interesting to see if there are plans to include one in the future.
