From now until 23 30 Dec 2019, purchase miles from Alaska Mileage Plan and receive up to 50% bonus miles!
The actual bonus miles that you can receive is actually tiered, meaning that the more miles you purchase, the better the bonus.
You can purchase up to 60000 miles per transaction, and up to 150000 miles per calendar year. For this promotion, if you do max out the cap of 60000 miles in one transaction, you’ll receive a total of 90000 miles at a cost of 1.97 US cents each.
Use your Alaska Mileage Plan miles for award travel on Japan Airlines, Cathay Pacific, and of course the newly added Singapore Airlines!
Do not purchase miles speculatively, as award chart devaluations do occur from time to time, sometimes with little or no warning. Even after some changes that were made to intra-Asia travel recently, Alaska Mileage Plan still presents pretty good value on selected routes between Asia and North America.
Remember to use your OCBC 90N card to earn you 4 mpd (with no cap), or your UOB Visa Signature to also earn you 4 mpd (subject to a minimum spend of S$1000 and maximum spend of S$2000 per statement period). You can also earn 4 mpd with your Citi Rewards card (subject to a maximum spend of S$1000 per statement period). If you do not have the aforementioned cards, use your BOC Elite Miles World Mastercard to earn you 3 mpd (with no cap), or your Standard Chartered Visa Infinite card to earn you 3 mpd (subject to a minimum spend of S$2000 per statement period).
