A few months back, I wrote about whether Singapore Airlines is on track with retrofitting the older A380s in the fleet with the latest cabin products. It seems that while the original timeline may be extended a little into the future, the retrofit programme is gaining some momentum.
The first aircraft undergoing the retrofit will return to service shortly. It has been announced that the aircraft will be deployed to New Delhi for the month of August.
From September onwards, the aircraft will be deployed to Mumbai.
As reported by Mainly Miles, the Saver award availability for the new Suites on these routes looks promising. This presents a great opportunity to give the new Suites a go.
Hopefully with more aircraft completing the retrofit, Singapore Airlines will soon be able to deploy A380s with the latest products on more routes.
