Business Class on Singapore Airlines A330-300 from Singapore (SIN) to Brisbane (BNE)

Singapore Airlines operates 4 daily flights to Brisbane. While the airline used to operate the A330-300 aircraft, it has since swapped them out for the A350-900 and B777-200 aircraft. These offer more comfort for Business Class passengers, with long-haul Business Class products onboard. This was a great move by Singapore Airlines, considering that this route is actually a medium-haul one, with overnight flights operating a sleeper service.

I arrived early for this sleeper service, and found the Business Class check in rows devoid of passenger activity.

After being issued my boarding pass, I headed for the SilverKris Lounge for some refreshments. It was pretty packed when I entered, but people started to head off for their flights as the evening progressed.

Boarding had already commenced when I arrived at the gate. I boarded through the Business Class lane, and found my way to my seat 12F.

I had to remind myself that the regional Business Class seat on this flight was going to be a disappointment, but hoped that me falling into a deep sleep later on would compensate for that. The cabin crew served me a glass of orange juice prior to take off.

As expected, the menu contained the sleeper service menu, where passengers can opt to dine either immediately after take off, or just prior to landing. I opted for the former, so that I could get some uninterrupted sleep all the way to Brisbane.

Once the seatbelt signs were turned off, the cabin crew dressed my meal tray in preparation for my meal. To begin, I had a selection of sliced fresh fruit.

For my main course, I chose the poached egg benedict on sautéed spinach, toasted muffin, ham steak, roasted tomato, and hollandaise sauce. It was weird having that before sleeping, but I took it as my breakfast in advance.

As expected, I slept through the rest of the flight, even though the seat was supposed to be uncomfortable. But as I have mentioned, this route is now served by aircraft with the long-haul Business Class product, with lie-flat beds and all-aisle access for all passengers. We touched down in Brisbane on time, and I was greeted by abundant sunshine! Always a great way to start a trip!
