M Social Singapore is conveniently located right by Robertson Quay, perfect for those who wish to soak in Singapore’s riverside night scene.
The lobby has a very hip and modern atmosphere, with the use of bold colours and decor. Check in was expeditious with my Millennium Premium membership.
Heading up to my room, I admired how groovy the corridors were.
Entering my room, I was amazed at how they were able to squeeze in so much given the limited floor area. I guess the high ceiling and floor-to-ceiling windows helped a bit.
The wash basin area is actually located within the bedroom, separate from the rest of the bathroom.
The bathroom itself was decent, with a shower and WC, together with a good view of the bedroom.
The room included complimentary hot beverages, and the usual bathrobe and slippers.
Guests can also use a portable device loaded with tourist recommendations and a call function.
For those looking for some exercise, the hotel has an outdoor pool, as well as a fitness centre. The fitness centre surpassed my expectations for a mid-tier hotel.
Beast and Butterflies on the ground floor serves up many locally inspired dishes, from duck wontons and laksa. The restaurant is an excellent place to dine with family and friends, especially if you wish to avoid the riverside crowd at night.
I enjoyed my stay at the M Social Singapore very much. However for those who drive, do take note that the free carpark lots are strictly on a first-come-first-serve basis. Otherwise, overnight parking is available for a fee.
