From May 2018, Singapore Airlines will discontinue the capital express service between Canberra and Wellington. Flights to these two cities will be served as onward connections from Singapore, and the cities of Sydney and Melbourne respectively.
Wellington will be served by SQ247 from Singapore via Melbourne, with the return sector as SQ248, also making a stop in Melbourne. Canberra, on the other hand, will be served by SQ288 from Singapore via Sydney, before its return sector direct to Singapore.
As per the release by AusBT:
Flights to Melbourne and Wellington will be served by the B777-200, featuring angled lie-flat Business Class seats in a 2-2-2 configuration.
Flights to Sydney and Canberra, however, will be upgraded to a B777-300ER, featuring First and Business Class seats in a 1-2-1 configuration.
