B787-10 receives FAA certification, Singapore Airlines to receive first aircraft in 2Q 2018

The Federal Aviation Administration has certified the B787-10 for service, which lays the basis for approval by other regulatory bodies. This means launch customer Singapore Airlines can expect the aircraft to enter service in the second quarter of 2018.

As per previous reports, the B787-10 operated by Singapore Airlines will most likely be in a two-class configuration, with only Business and Economy Classes. Reports also suggest that the B787-10 will feature Singapore Airlines’ new regional Business Class, which has yet to be formally announced.

A press release from Singapore Airlines is expected in due course.
