Lifehouse Spa and Hotel

Located at Thorpe-le-Soken in Essex just under 2 hours drive to the east of central London, the Lifehouse Spa and Hotel serves as an awesome getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life.

The location itself is calm and inviting, with the premises surrounded by lush green and natural beauty.

I was warmly received by the staff for my stay at the property. Note that you can visit the spa and choose not to stay over the night if you’re in a hurry. The lobby was spacious and offered ample seating for guests, and was flooded with lots of natural light.

Check-in was swift, and before long I was in my room, which was spacious and offered direct access to the gardens outside.

Here’s a view of the outdoor seating area for rooms located on the ground floor.

The bathroom had a minimalist design that did not compromise on space.

Once I was all settled in, I decided to tour the premises. Most walkways in between buildings are sheltered but not walled up, providing guests with the opportunity to admire the lovely surroundings.

The common areas have floor to ceiling glass windows, offering lots of natural light.

If you are into fitness, you’ll love the fully equipped gym, with free weights, machines, and ample space for functional fitness training.

Afraid of the cold? Fear not. The large indoor pool is open to guests all year round.

The dining room offered healthy options, from salad to soups, which went very well with the whole healthy living vibe at Lifehouse.

Now this was one of my favourite parts of the hotel. A dark room perfect for picking out a good book or just to take a nap in between your spa appointments. The chairs were very comfortable.

Your stay isn’t complete unless you take a walk around the gardens on site, overflowing with water features, greenery and lovely flowers.

Fancy heading out to town, why not take a ride on one of the bikes available for rent? Alternatively, Clacton-on-Sea is just a 15-minute drive away, where you can admire the lovely beach huts facing the sea.

If you’re in the UK, and in need of a wellness getaway, be sure to visit Lifehouse Spa and Hotel.
