Several credit cards are offering accelerated miles earn rates this holiday season. If you wish to maximise your miles earned, you should take note of the following cards when you spend overseas.
Citi Premiermiles Visa Card
From now until 31 Jan 2018, charge a minimum of S$2500 equivalent in foreign currency and earn 3.5 mpd on all qualifying transactions made in foreign currency. This is subject to a cap of S$8000 during the promotion period.
Eligible cardholders must first register for the promotion.
OCBC Voyage Card (Targeted)
From now until 31 Dec 2017, you will receive 3 mpd for any spend abroad, as well as any transactions made online that is charged in foreign currency. There is no minimum spend or cap on the number of miles that you can earn during this promotion.
Standard Chartered Visa Infinite
With a minimum spend of S$2000 per statement cycle, any overseas spend will earn you 3 mpd. This is almost as attractive as the OCBC Voyage promotion, just that you must meet the minimum spend requirement, otherwise you will only earn 1 mpd.
UOB PRVI Miles Card
From now until 31 Dec 2017, you can earn up to 3 mpd on shopping and dining when you use your UOB PRVI Miles overseas. However, this is limited to the first 3000 successfully registered cardmembers who meet a minimum qualifying spend of S$1000 equivalent in foreign currency. Otherwise, continue to earn 2.4 mpd on all overseas spend.
OCBC Titanium Rewards Card
From now until 31 Dec 2017, you can earn up to 6 mpd for your shopping while overseas. Only cardmembers who have received a notification of eligibility from OCBC can enjoy this promotion.
General Spending Cards
If you do not have any of the above cards, you can use the DBS Altitude, Citi Premiermiles (for total spends below S$2500) or Maybank Horizon Visa Signature cards to earn 2 mpd on all overseas spend
So, make sure you have these cards in hand when you travel!
