A safe haven in the desert. That’s what I would call this hotel. Upon entering the premises, I noticed how well fortified the exterior of the hotel was that it somehow gave me an added sense of security. That is not to say that Marrakech is unsafe. But after a hectic day out in the markets and desert, I was very appreciative of the calm and serenity that the hotel provided.
How about that. The lobby was so beautifully furnished, with lush sofas, soft lighting, and curtains that made the arrival so welcoming. Beyond the lobby was a huge pool heated to 27 degrees that was also lit at night. It was truly a remarkable sight.
I was so eager to check into my room, and what lay behind the door. Given the grand entrance, my room was sure not to disappoint, I thought to myself. And I was right.
On the king sized bed were 6 plush pillows. I loved it that the staff placed bottles of water all over the room. It must be the hot weather outside. I enjoyed the plate of fruit as well.
Despite its size, with curtains all around the room, it gave the room a warm and cozy touch.
The bathroom was huge, with two sinks and separate bathtub and shower facilities.
Next, a walk-in wardrobe with lots of storage space. I wonder who brings enough stuff to fill those shelves. Bathrobes were also provided for the added convenience.
My room also had an attached balcony, with chairs to lounge in. I had a clear view of the pool from my room as well.
The breakfast spread was truly amazing. Be sure to stuff yourself, because I did.
This is how the pool looks like in the day. I prefer how it glows in the night though, but we are all entitled to our preferences, aren’t we?
This hotel is a definite must if you’re visiting Marrakech. You’ll feel pampered from the moment you check-in till the time you check-out, and then you’ll have the longing to return to this oasis once again.
