This may be a typical stroll-along-the-street kind of hotel, but it definitely packs a punch. Hotel Vincci Soma is located on the Goya Street in Madrid, which is in the heart of the Salamanca district, one of the most exclusive areas in the city. The hotel is also located close to Retiro Park, Puerta de Alcala, the Paseo del Prado, as well as the Art Triangle in Madrid.
There was nothing grand about the hotel entrance.
But the lobby was nice and cozy, with sofas and plush cushions for guests.
The room was on the small side, with 2 beds pushed together to make a ‘king’. I never understood this as an option to begin with, since two beds will always be two no matter how you arrange them together.
The dressing table was small, but at least it came with a sound system. The small armchair was just nice to place my belongings, and there was a nice view of the street outside.
I loved the tiled bathroom that came with a bathtub, and the lighting gave it a modern feel.
This hotel will suit you if you’re just intending to roam around central Madrid on foot. That being said, Madrid has multiple transport options so getting around should be convenient enough if you’re putting up at any hotels in the vicinity.
