Whenever I travel, I always feel more reassured when I plan my stays at international hotel chains, such as the Hilton or Marriott. However, it doesn’t hurt to try out some of the less well-known hotel chains or properties once in a while.
Nestled on the banks of the Vltava, the longest river in the Czech Republic, is the Mamaison Riverside Hotel Prague. This property is run by parent company CPI Hotels under the Mamaison Hotels & Residences label, which owns a collection of midscale to upscale hotels and residences in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Russia.
Behind the traditional building façade, the property has a modern and contemporary look, with colours that go well with the mix of wooden furniture within. The Deluxe room is 25-30 sqm in size, that came with a ‘King’ bed that was really two twin beds pushed together.
There was complimentary water and fruit, and oh yes, wifi as well.
The room had ample wardrobe space, and some complimentary coffee and tea as well.
I loved the bathroom, which was spacious and came with a separate shower and a bathtub. With 2 sinks, you won’t have to wait for your turn to freshen up.
I would highly recommend staying at this hotel on your next trip to Prague. Located between the Old City, shopping district and Vltava river, the hotel offers unparalleled convenience if you wish to tour this beautiful city on foot.
