Located right next to the SilverKris Lounge and American Express Lounge in Melbourne’s Tullamarine Airport Terminal 2 is the Plaza Premium Lounge.
Passengers with access to Priority Pass lounges will be able to access this lounge.
Contrary to some other Plaza Premium Lounges that can get a bit packed due to the relatively liberal access policy, the one in Melbourne was pretty empty.
Alcoholic beverages were available at the bar, so were the soft drink dispensers.
Fresh fruit juice was also available, that could’ve been replenished a tad more frequently.
At the food bar was some hot food such as kung pao chicken and sweet and sour pork.
There was also some cheese and tossed salad, as well as sweets such as brownies and cheesecake.
At one corner of the lounge were some high tables and chairs for casual dining.
For those who wish to have a little more privacy, some enclosed booths were available for use. Each came equipped with charging ports for convenience. These little hexagonal booths had tablets for personal laptops with just enough space for a beverage or small plate, so it’s not too suited for guests who wish to work and dine at the same time.
Otherwise, these tables make for a great way to dine socially in travel parties of 2 or more.
Along the far side of the lounge were other seats that offered a decent amount of privacy given the high sideboards surrounding the seats. Each also came with a small tablet and charging ports.
Flight information screens at the lounge also ensure that you won’t miss your flight.
The Plaza Premium Lounge in Melbourne would make a comfortable choice if you’re just looking for a place to chill and relax before your flight.
