I recently wrote about a new pop-up by American Express right in the heart of central Singapore. NOOK by Platinum, located in The Capitol Kempinski Hotel, is a perfect sanctuary for Amex Centurion and Platinum Charge cardmembers to relax and unwind.
I made a trip down to have a look for myself, and boy was I impressed. NOOK by Platinum is actually nestled along a quiet section of 15 Stamford by Alvin Leung. Simply state that you wish to use the lounge and a member of staff will lead you to it.
You’ll gain access through one of the two pairs of sliding doors.
Once inside, you can pick any available seat. Tables are arranged along the expanse of the lounge, and each can seat 2-3 persons comfortably.
NOOK by Platinum has its own menu of light bites, but guests can also have access to the 15 Stamford menu, which is more substantial. Note that the Love Dining benefit is only applicable to selected a la carte items on the 15 Stamford menu.
Each eligible cardmember will also receive a complimentary glass of red or white wine.
I gave the laksa and prawn linguine a go, and they were both delectable!
The mango pomelo sago dessert was also tart and refreshing!
On one side of the lounge, you’ll find shelves of books and boardgames.
There are also study desks that face the street traffic outside.
On the opposite wall you’ll find endless bottles of wine on display, certainly adding an elegant touch to the lounge.
Overall, NOOK by Platinum is truly a cozy place to relax. Although much smaller in floor area when compared to Platinum Vibes previously, the current lounge is much more accessible and convenient for guests. The lounge is open from 12 noon to 12 midnight daily, with lunch service from 12 noon to 3 in the afternoon, and dinner service from 6 to 10:30 in the evening.
