From now until 31 Dec 2019, you will be able to earn up to 1.5 mpd for all eligible spending in local (SGD) currency. This is an increase from the usual 1.2 mpd earn rate.
Note that you’ll have to spend a minimum of S$3000 per statement cycle in order to be eligible for this higher earn rate as well. An interesting feature of this promotion is that charges to your Citi PayAll facility counts towards the minimum spend requirement. All you need to do is to pay careful attention to your spending to ensure that they fall within your statement cycle to satisfy the S$3000 per statement cycle requirement.
It is also important to note that while the Citi Premiermiles Visa card is eligible for this promotion, the Amex version isn’t.
While this promotion is nothing to rave about, it sure beats the usual 1.2 mpd earn rate for local spend. Remember though, that the BOC Elite Miles World Mastercard already gives you 1.5 mpd for local spend with no cap or minimum spend, so this Citi promotion is unlikely to be attractive enough.
