American Express and Singapore Airlines have launched a credit card targeted at SMEs. The American Express Singapore Airlines Business Credit Card marks the extension of a 20-year partnership between both companies in a bid to help SMEs better manage their businesses and expansion efforts while also being able to enjoy some premium travel benefits.
The Singapore Airlines HighFlyer Programme was actually launched 2 years ago to support SMEs with expansion efforts, while being rewarded when travelling with the programme. Essentially, users will earn HighFlyer points on business trips which can then be used to offset future travel expenses.
The American Express Singapore Airlines Business Credit Card complements these existing efforts to support SMEs, while offering a host of additional benefits. Cardmembers will earn 8.5 HighFlyer points for every S$1 spent on eligible Singapore Airlines Group flights, and 1.8 HighFlyer points for all other eligible spend. HighFlyer points are converted to KrisFlyer miles at a rate of 2:1.
Other card benefits include complimentary travel insurance, accelerated upgrade to KrisFlyer Elite Gold status with S$15000 spend within the first year of card membership, 2 complimentary visits to Priority Pass lounges, and a complimentary Accor Plus membership (with annual complimentary one night stay).
