Singapore Airlines lounges in Changi Terminal 3 to be upgraded

There’s some great news for Singapore Airlines passengers, as the airline has just announced a S$50 million upgrade for its lounges located in Changi Airport Terminal 3.

Both the First and Business Class sections in the SilverKris lounge will be upgraded, and so will The Private Room which is exclusive to Suites and First Class passengers travelling with Singapore Airlines. The KrisFlyer Gold Lounge will also be upgraded!

Suites and First Class passengers can look forward to a brand new The Private Room and First Class lounge, with the former boasting a full-service fine dining section within the lounge. As it is, The Private Room is already very impressive, but of course improvements are always welcome!

The new Business Class lounge will feature four distinct zones to cater to the different needs of travellers. There will also be a full-service bar and productivity pods, amongst other upgraded facilities to feature in the new lounge.

Most importantly, the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, which suffers from constant overcrowding during the peak departure timings, will double in capacity. And yes you heard me right, this lounge will also feature shower facilities.

The upgrading works will take place in phases, starting in Aug 2019 and should be completed by mid-2021. The Business Class lounge will be the first to be upgraded, followed by the First Class lounge and The Private Room. Finally, the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge will get its makeover. During this entire period, affected passengers will be re-accommodated to other lounge facilities in order to minimise any disruption to the overall travel experience.
