From now until 31 Dec 2018, use your UOB PRVI Miles Visa card overseas and earn twice the usual number of miles. This means the the usual earn rate for overseas spend is doubled from 2.4 mpd to 4.8 mpd!
You will have to enrol yourself for this promotion before you get to enjoy the accelerated miles earn rate. Simply follow the instructions below.
On the surface, this seems like a no-brainer. But bear in mind that according to the terms and conditions, this promotion is only for the first 1000 customers who charge at least S$1000 to their registered card during the promotion period. This is a usual practice with UOB promotions, where you’ll never know if you’re in the running to be the first 1000 customers who make the cut. The promotion is also capped at 4000 bonus miles, which presents an upper limit to your spending for this promotion. Also bear in mind that online spending in foreign currency doesn’t count if the payment gateway is located within Singapore.
With all these terms and conditions to grapple with, why not use your BOC Elite Miles World Mastercard and earn 5 mpd for all spend in foreign currency, with no cap, until 31 Dec 2018. Of course, another sure way is to use your UOB Visa Signature card to earn 4 mpd for all overseas spend, subject to a minimum spend of S$1000 per statement cycle, or to earn 3 mpd for overseas spend with your Standard Chartered Visa Infinite card, subject to a minimum spend of S$2000 per statement cycle. If you have none of these cards, Citibank has also upgraded the miles earn rates for their cards this holiday season.
So go forth and spend wisely. Full terms and conditions for the UOB promotion can be found here.
