From now until 31 Dec 2018, use your Citi Premiermiles card and Citi Prestige card overseas and earn more miles.
Specifically, both cards will earn you 2.4 mpd instead of the usual 2 mpd earn rate. That’s a 20% increase, which is pretty respectable. However, this only matches what the UOB PRVI Miles card currently offers for overseas spend.
Bear in mind that other cards actually offer better miles earn rates for overseas spend, such as the Standard Chartered Visa Infinite card, which earns you 3 mpd (subject to a minimum spend of S$2000 per statement cycle), and the UOB Visa Signature card, which earns you 4 mpd (subject to a minimum spend of S$1000 per statement cycle). And let’s not forget the Bank of China Elite Miles World Mastercard, which will earn you 5 mpd for overseas spend until the end of 2018, before reverting to the default earn rate of 3 mpd.
So, choose wisely when deciding which cards to use for your upcoming overseas spend.
