The Langham Hong Kong

Not to be confused with Langham Place in Mong Kok, the Langham Hong Kong is located in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui. It is only a short walk to Tsim Sha Tsui East MTR station, and just a stone’s throw away from Harbour City, a huge mall with endless shopping and entertainment options.

Entering the hotel, I immediately recognised the scent permeating the lobby. It was no doubt Air Aroma, a mix of ginger flower, green grass, rose, lily of the valley and jasmine, specially customised for Langham Hotels. In fact, one member of staff approached me with a survey asking if I loved it, and of course I replied with a resounding yes.

Checking in was seamless, and I headed up to my room to settle in and unpack. The room was quite large for land-scarce Hong Kong. I loved the oriental vibe and interior decor, and the carpet design was very aesthetically pleasing. The floor-to-ceiling glass windows protruded over the streets below, allowing more natural lighting in.

It was evident from the layout of how the entire space was so thoughtfully utilised. It certainly helped that the working desk was made of glass, so it looked like it wasn’t taking up a lot of space.

The bedroom was separated from the bathroom by traditional wooden windows for more privacy if you’re travelling with friends.

The bathroom itself was very spacious, with a full sized bathtub and a separate shower. The design was elegant, but not too over-the-top.

The hotel also has a lovely pool and a fully equipped fitness centre for guests to work out a sweat during their stay.

If you’re hungry, you’ll be happy to know that the in-room dining menu is very extensive. During my stay, I had a selection of roast meats with steamed rice for room service, and was very satisfied with the presentation, taste, as well as the portions.

There were a lot of dessert options too, and you can request to have them serve it at a later time after your meal, just like I did.

The Langham Hong Kong is one of my favourite hotels to stay in one of Asia’s busiest cities. It sits on one of the most coveted locations in Hong Kong, and guests can also have convenient access from the hotel to other parts of the city due to its proximity to major transportation lines.
