From now until 4 Oct 2018, you can receive up to 50% bonus miles from your purchase with Alaska Mileage Plan. The bonus is tiered such that the more you purchase, the more bonus miles you’ll receive.
You can only purchase a maximum of 60000 miles (excluding bonus miles) at a time, bringing your total to 90000 miles at only 1.97 US cents each.
Use your BOC Elite Miles World Mastercard to earn 5 mpd during this sale period. Alternatively, you can use your UOB Visa Signature card which earns you 4 mpd for S$1000 – S$2000 spend in foreign currency, your DBS Woman’s World Mastercard, which also earns you 4 mpd, or the Standard Chartered Visa Infinite Card, which earns you 3 mpd, subject to a minimum spend of S$2000 per statement cycle.
Alaska Mileage Plan is perfect for an “almost” round trip between Singapore and Tokyo on Japan Airlines Business Class for less than US$700, as well as one-way First and Business Class seats on Cathay Pacific between Asia and North America for only 70000/50000 miles.
According to The Milelion, this sale seems to be more widespread, with more people being eligible for the 50% bonus, myself included. If you’ve a trip coming up, and if you’ve just received your BOC Elite Miles World Mastercard, it might be a good time to take advantage of this sale to maximise your purchase and earn more miles along with it.
