American Express Singapore has announced some improvements for the Platinum Charge Card. I have been holding onto this card for years, mainly due to the impressive benefits that come along with it. Here are some of the benefits that you can enjoy being a Platinum Charge Cardmember:
Upgrade to Metal
Personally, I have been waiting for this for some time now, as similar cards issued in the US have already received this upgrade. Platinum Charge Cardmembers in Singapore can now enjoy a better look and feel of a metal card. Do note, however, that those holding onto the existing plastic will not automatically receive the metal version of the card, not until your existing card expires. However, I have spoken to American Express Singapore and they have mentioned that interested parties can have their existing plastic cards replaced with the metal version with immediate effect. Simply give them a call and you’ll receive your new metal card in a couple of days.
Increased Travel Credit
Previously, cardmembers enjoyed only S$400 in travel credits, to be redeemed through the Amex Platinum Concierge. This will be increased to S$800 with immediate effect, in the form of S$400 air travel credits and S$400 lodging credits.
Exclusive Access to PLATINUM VIBES
This is located on the 2nd floor of Marina at Keppel Bay, and cardmembers will have access to this wine and dine space until 31 Dec 2018.
Access to Centurion Lounges Worldwide
Sometimes, airline and pay-per-use lounges can get a little crowded. However, with your Platinum Charge Card, you can access any Centurion Lounge worldwide, and savour the exclusivity of your own personal space before boarding for your next flight.
Amazing Hotel and Dining Privileges
I have previously written about these here and here, and I can say that the Platinum Charge Card offers only the most exclusive benefits to its cardmembers.
The Platinum Charge Card was strictly by invitation only, but these requirements have since been relaxed. Interested parties can sign up for the card here, and expect to receive up to 75000 bonus Membership Rewards Points when you spend S$20000 within your first 3 months of card membership, but you must apply online before 31 Dec 2018 to enjoy this offer.
