The Double Tree by Hilton Hotel Beijing is located just southwest of central Beijing. It has a beautiful façade, especially at night, where the hotel appears to be cladded in glowing marble.
I had no issues checking in after presenting my Hilton HHonors Gold card. I was also offered their signature cookie, which I am always looking forward to when staying at Double Tree by Hilton properties. I noticed that they had given me a room on the top floor. This was when the front desk informed me that the hotel was pretty much full house, and that they had offered me a suite instead. I accepted the arrangement without any hesitation, just like anyone would.
Heading up to my room, I was greeted by a large living area, with a sofa and glass tables.
In one corner was a small table for in-room dining. There was also a kitchenette area with an induction stove, wash basin, and some dishware for the more adventurous guest.
The suite had two bedrooms, one with two double beds, and another with a king sized bed.
Both bedrooms had individual bathrooms attached to them. The bathrooms were pretty much symmetrical in the layout, with a separate shower and WC all enclosed by glass panels. I absolutely loved the back-lit mirrors, great for helping you stay awake while freshening up every morning.
The fitness centre is very well equipped, and the hotel comes with a full sized indoor pool. As a Double Tree property, this hotel is doing pretty well, facilities wise.
The breakfast was pretty standard, with abundant seating to accommodate all the guests each morning. If possible, head down early to beat the crowd, or you might have to jostle with others to get your food.
The Double Tree by Hilton Hotel Beijing is perfect for a city stay within Beijing. With transport links to most tourist attractions, the hotel is a very convenient option for your next visit to Beijing. And don’t forget the cookies too!
