There are a total of 36 seats in Business Class, arranged in a 1-2-1 configuration, offering all passengers direct access to the aisle.

By the windows, the seats alternate every other row to give passengers more privacy if the seat is situated closer to the windows, or slightly less privacy if right next to the aisle. However, the cocoon shaped shell seems to offer an amazing amount of privacy overall.

For those seated in the middle, the pairs of seats alternate every other row, with couples or those travelling with a companion being able to choose seats that are closer together.

More importantly, seats can be converted into a fully lie-flat bed, a major upgrade from the existing regional Business Class seats.

For now, you’ll expect to see these seats on board the B787-10, which will be deployed to Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok for crew familiarisation and training in April, before commencing regular services to Osaka and Perth in May. Singapore Airlines has also announced intentions for the aircraft to be deployed to Fukuoka and Nagoya in the near future.
