The Hilton Portland Downtown is conveniently located in the heart of the city. There are restaurants and entertainment options all within walking distance from the hotel.
I elected to engage the valet service as it offered unlimited access in and out of the parking garage all with a reasonable fee, plus tips. Plus, I was assured of having my car at the front porch anytime during the day, or night for that matter.
Check-in was swift as usual for Hilton Honors members.
The butler led me to my room. Along the way I was asked if I was here for a conference. So apparently, Portland doesn’t get lots of tourists.
The room was of a decent size, and fairly welcoming. The large king sized bed called out to me as I contemplated giving in to the jetlag.
The interior furnishing was dated and the walls felt bare.
The toilet was on the small side, and very dim for my liking.
To fight off the jetlag, I decided to hit the gym, which was very well equipped.
The property also has a large indoor pool, perfect for cold winters.
Overall, nothing really stood out for me during my stay at the Hilton Portland Downtown. But the staff were very warm and friendly, and all my needs were very well looked after.
