The Dom Pedro Lisboa is located right in the centre of Lisbon, and offers a stunning view of the city, the Tejo River as well as S. Jorge Castle. It is only located 7km from the airport.
The hotel is also located next to Amoreiras Shopping Center, home to over 250 shops as well as cinemas and restaurants, which offers unparalleled convenience for guests.
The Dom Pedro Lisboa has a fairly modern façade, with its tall columns and walls of concrete, marble and glass.
I was greeted by a very spacious driveway and revolving door entrance.
Step inside and you’ll be impressed by the soft tones and opulence. Guests have ample areas to lounge in at the lobby.
The front desk was a little ‘old-fashioned’ but with excellent service standards, how could I complain?
The room was fairly spacious, and it was themed just like a family room. They could’ve done better with a larger television and a smaller dressing table and mirror. The lighting was more than adequate.
The bathroom was fairly small, with a combined shower and bath tub, but otherwise well stocked.
My room had a nice view of the surroundings. It did help that the hotel is one of the tallest around the neighbourhood.
I headed up to the VIP Lounge to have a look. It was deserted, and the furnishings were evidently in desperate need of some updating. Drinks were available all day long, and it’s generally a nice place to just lounge and read a book.
The hotel has a basic gym and a lovely pool that changes colour. Sauna and steam rooms are also available for guests who wish to break a sweat.
The breakfast spread was decent. Otherwise, the nearby malls make for some good alternatives if you are craving for more variety.
An overall impressive hotel that is conveniently located, perfect for those on vacation or on a business trip. I might consider returning again on my next visit to Lisbon.
